First National Bank & Trust Collecting New Stuffed Animal Donations for Project Teddy Bear

First National Bank & Trust is pleased to announce two November events for Project Teddy Bear. Project Teddy Bear is part of First National Bank & Trust’s 130th Anniversary community events, with the goal of collecting new stuffed animals to donate to local area emergency responders and crisis centers.

The first event, Family Fun Bowl-a-Rama takes place Friday, November 24th from 12:30-5:00 pm at Recreation Lanes in Iron Mountain. By donating a new stuffed animal, participants will receive free shoe rental with one hour of bowling included. Without a stuffed animal donation the price is just $3.00 per person to cover shoe rental. There will also be fun kids games with prizes and candy to add to the festivities.

“We feel honored and privileged at First National Bank to celebrate 130 years in this great community.   We pride ourselves on and remain committed to cultivating new and innovative local initiatives which give back to our communities,” said Matthew Lutz, CPA/Controller at First National Bank & Trust.

The second Project Teddy Bear event will be the Bring-a-Bear Teddy Bear Toss, being held Thursday, November 30th at Mountain View Ice Arena for the Kingsford High School hockey game. Kingsford will be playing Jeffers, with the game starting at 6:00pm.  Admission is only $1 for attendees bringing a new stuffed animal donation to toss out onto the ice when announced.

“The KHS hockey program is really looking forward to partnering with First National Bank & Trust on this great community event and are grateful for the opportunity,” said Dennis Murvich, KHS Hockey coach. “We believe this will be a much anticipated and fun game event for years to come.”

Both of these events for Project Teddy Bear will be followed by the opportunity to contribute new stuffed animals all throughout December with the bank’s Christmas Tree Collection Box. Project Teddy Bear is part of First National Bank and Trust’s ongoing dedication to supporting and strengthening our community.
