Join First National Bank & Trust for the Lemon Aid Fun and Fundraising Event

Stop by the First National Bank & Trust downtown Iron Mountain location for a lemonade social on Tuesday, July 10th, from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm.  There will be a lemonade stand set up in the outdoor plaza with cookies, lemonade refreshments, and the prize wheel will also be on hand.  The event is officially titled Lemon Aid as there will also be a donation jar collection for those who would like to contribute to the Foster Closet of Michigan.

Foster Parents can be unprepared for a newly placed child in terms of having the right size or quantity of clothing and equipment required for a particular child. This frequently places a financial hardship on the foster family to provide for the immediate clothing needs of children.  The Foster Closet of Michigan supplies them with clothing, shoes, new underwear and socks, baby gear, furniture, toys, car seats, etc. for the children in their care. This enables the foster parent to provide for the most basic needs of the child quickly and helps ease the transition into their new foster home family.

“When we do fundraising events, we try to spotlight different community organizations that we can help,” said Jean O’Dette, Vice President and Business Banking Officer.  “We found out about the recently formed Foster Closet of Michigan, Dickinson County chapter and wanted to support this new organization and such a great cause.”

Each summer, First National Bank & Trust holds an outdoor social for its customers and the community. This year’s Lemon Aid lemonade social is sure to be a “fun-raiser” as well as being a fundraiser.
