First National Bank & Trust held its 5th Annual Community Shred Fest on Saturday, September 17, 2016. Approximately 150 individuals and businesses turned out for the event. Country Mile Document Destruction Inc., of Stephenson, MI brought their state-of-the-art mobile shredding truck to the parking lot across from the Main Branch on Stephenson Avenue this year. There were 8,640 pounds of shredded documents. During the event, donations of cash were accepted to support the Dickinson County Veterans Assistance Fund. Once again, the local businesses and individuals were very generous, with $1174 being raised.
First National Bank & Trust volunteers and their families were honored to be working alongside 93 year old Merlin Hicks, a WWII Veteran.“We would like to thank Country Mile for providing this service, the Bank employees and their families who volunteered their time, and our wonderful community for their support. The event continues to grow; we are pleased this has become an annual event and are looking forward to next year” stated a bank representative.
