First National Bank & Trust is pleased to announce their teaming with professional snowboarder and 2022 Olympic Gold Medalist Nick Baumgartner.

Nick Baumgartner, the Iron River resident who made headlines worldwide with his gold medal win at the 2022 Winter Olympics, is being featured in a series of new videos for First National Bank & Trust.  Baumgartner has been a customer with First National Bank & Trust for many years, working with Gary Scalcucci and Ryan Meske of the Iron River branch.

“Nick has been a loyal customer and a pleasure to work with,” said Gary Scalcucci, First National Bank & Trust Iron River Assistant Vice President.  “I’ve worked with Nick since 2014 and it’s been a thrill to watch him on his journey over the years to reach his goal of winning Olympic Gold.”

In addition to the professional ties between First National Bank & Trust and Nick, his story was also a big part of the appeal in doing this project.  The videos were produced by the Bennett Media Group, based out of Marquette and led by Iron Mountain native John Bennett.  “Being from Iron Mountain, I grew up not far from Nick in Iron River,” said Bennett.  “We played football against each other, and to get to do this video project with him and hear his story was a great experience.”

“Nick’s story of winning the gold and never giving up—the strength and perseverance he displayed is an inspiration to anyone who has a goal and sets out to achieve it,” said David Kashian, First National Bank & Trust President & CEO.  “We are all proud of Nick’s accomplishments and honored to work with him as a longtime customer.  The values he displays, with his commitment to excellence and love for his community, are in alignment with our own corporate culture, making it a natural fit for us to team up with Nick.”

In addition to the long-form production, alternate versions will be airing on local television stations.  You can view the long-form version of the video, “Nick’s Story” below.
