See the 2017 Teddy Bear Toss Video!!
First National Bank & Trust and the Kingsford High School hockey program recently teamed up for Bring-a-Bear Teddy Bear Toss for Project Teddy Bear. Project Teddy Bear is part of First National Bank & Trust’s 130th Anniversary community events, with the goal of collecting new stuffed animals to donate to local area emergency responders and crisis centers.
The Bring-a-Bear Teddy Bear Toss took place on Thursday, November 30th at Mountain View Ice Arena for the Kingsford versus Jeffers hockey game. Attendees brought new stuffed toys to donate by tossing them out onto the ice after Kingsford’s first goal was scored.
“We’d like to thank all of these folks who participated in the Teddy Bear Toss and to First National Bank & Trust for helping make it an overwhelming success,” said Dennis Murvich, KHS Hockey coach. “Such outstanding participation speaks volumes about the support our community has for each other, especially during the holiday season. It’s a great event for a great cause. We hope to make this an annual tradition.”
First National Bank & Trust’s Project Teddy Bear collected over 176 stuffed toys from the Teddy Bear Toss, plus many more have been coming in since the kickoff event at Recreation Lanes on November 24th.
“Our goal with Project Teddy Bear is not only to collect new stuffed toys for our local emergency services, but also to involve the community by bringing the energy and excitement of a Teddy Bear Toss to our local area,” said David Kashian, President and CEO of First National Bank & Trust. “Teaming up with the Kingsford hockey program and Mountain View Ice Arena was a natural fit and we can’t thank everyone involved enough for partnering with us, and we plan to make the Teddy Bear Toss the centerpiece of our annual Project Teddy Bear activities.”
Those who would like to contribute to Project Teddy Bear may donate new stuffed animals all throughout December at First National Bank & Trust locations. Project Teddy Bear is part of First National Bank and Trust’s ongoing dedication to supporting and strengthening our community.
