First National Bank & Trust employees raised funds this past year to purchase over $750 worth of winter coats, headbands and mittens for the Salvation Army of Dickinson County annual coat drive.
According to Tara Blagec, Director of the local office, the Salvation Army coordinates with other local non-profit food pantries to feed over a 100 ‘extreme need’ families in our area each year. Their goal is to help their clients to become and remain more self-sufficient and better stewards of the resources available to them.
Applications for assistance can be picked up at the Salvation Army office located at 145 Roseland St in Kingsford, MI. For more information on the Salvation Army or their assistance programs, Tara can be reached at 779-5717 on Monday-Thursday from 9am -4pm and Fridays from 9am-12pm.
