First National Bank & Trust’s Shred Fest Returns

First National Bank & Trust is pleased to sponsor the return of Shred Fest, taking place Saturday, May 14 from 9 am to 12 pm (noon), at the Downtown Iron Mountain Stage parking lot.

This is a great opportunity to protect yourself from identity theft by safely destroying your personal documents.  First National Bank & Trust has once again retained Country Mile Document Destruction, Inc. of Stephenson, MI, to bring their state-of-the art mobile shredding truck to Iron Mountain.  All documents will be shredded immediately, on-site.  After all data has been destroyed, Country Mile recycles the paper residue.

This service is FREE for everyone in our community– residents, home office workers, community organizations and small businesses.  To make the process efficient, please bring only paper documents with personal information to the shred site, in paper bags or cardboard boxes.  Staples and small clips can be put through the shredder, but please make sure that there are no large binder clips, metal ring binders, plastic covers, books (phone books, catalogs, etc.) or other contaminates in your papers. If you are unsure if it can be destroyed at this event, just separate it from your paper documents so a Shred Fest crew member or Country Mile staff member can evaluate it.  Due to heavy volume, guests may bring a maximum of five boxes of personal documents per vehicle to shred.

First National Bank & Trust and Country Mile Document Destruction, Inc. reserve the right to refuse materials that will jam or damage the shredder.

Donations will be accepted during this event, with all proceeds being donated to the Light at the Inn shelter.
